Bashar Al-Hroub’s experience is considered to be one of the emerging experiences that carry the artist’s

continues concern, in addition to his continues research for the personal components and the fine arts elements

he owns. In order to contribute in preserving the originality of art, apart from the fashion of contemporary

art (as a mere fashion), his recent experiences had been based on investigating and attempting to understand

the origins of art, starting from its classic elements, that began with the painting itself and continues to be so.

In addition to that, Bashar had his own experience as another element to help him research and work in the

contemporary arts area. Through Bashar’s experiences, we can see how he tries to encourage the spirit of the

self motive, where his attempts varied between conceptual contemporary arts and his own self as a center, and

between the subject itself.

We won’t forget to shed light over the Bashar’s previous experiences in the area of plastic painting that were

forming in an atmosphere that had lead it to formulate the artist’s special identity. The artist did not stop there

though; he perused in improving his experience, knowing how the artistic experience needs time and hard

work, so that we can evaluate its results and improvements in regards to the artist’s work. Starting from his first

and second exhibition, Bashar tried to use a variety of artistic styles while forming one of his own. Bashar’s

work after that period focused on searching for a new way out; his exhibitions that followed varied between

the symbolism and the expressive symbolism, but during the past few years, basing on his accomplishments,

the elements of his artistic maturity began to blossom through some of the artist’s recent works tackled their

subjects in abstraction and experimentation manners, in addition to making use of the color techniques that

can be manipulated in a way that keeps Bashar’s style, and his recent experiences that appeared in some of his

projects like his installation project «another system» in the UK, his graffiti work «The Protector» in Jordan

and his work, « The Martyr’s Poster» in Palestine. Perhaps the artist’s self-belief and openness to the various

artistic styles, in addition to visiting to European and Arab states such as France, Morocco and Britain, had

contributed in the development of his style.

As Bashar’s subliminal themes, like the human being and the animal, lead us to understand the nature of

survival as an existential concept, in addition to leading us to understand the contradiction between the thinking

human, which lives the crises of defeat, and the instinctual animal which coexists peacefully with nature, we

get to face the reality of the one’s self as the center from which question arise all the time, and the reality that

fails to answer to these queries.

Most of Bashar Al-Hroub’s works focus on his ego with all what result from it, and its ability to attract the

external influences, and changing them into an open artistic horizon, in addition to its centrality when it comes

to analyzing and installing the diverse nature, and this means that he focuses on a wide introspection manner,

and on an inner world that is able to digest what happens around, and dealing with it depending on the events

that occur. This also means that he doesn’t place himself between parentheses, nor relates to typical narrow

artistic views; he always has surprises for the future.

It could be that basher’s inner world, which has a non stopping censoring machine that keeps censoring the facts

and environment around him, and the artist’s deep belief in what he has inside, and his serious willingness to

release this inner world that is joint with his soul, so it can be transferred into an active participatory external

world, that pushed him towards his recent exhibition “Monologue”, so he can fill the gaps through his vision of

this exhibition. This exhibition expresses a soul that does not accept staying within one system, it rather expands

throughout the different paths of art, that mirror one theme the end of the day, which is the theme of existence.
