Introduction

The art exhibition , Sliman Mansour and Hakon Gullvag :
Situations , is a collaborative project between the sister cities Trondheim and Ramallah . It will be presented in Ramallah municipality's centennial jubilee in April 2008, we hope the exhibition will travel to the United Nations building in New York .

The exhibition Situations presents artworks by the Palestinian Sliman Mansour and the Norwegian Hakon Gullvag, two of the foremost contemporary artists from their respective countries. Although both are involved in extensive exhibition activity , nationally as well as internationally , this is the first time they have exhibited together. Their artistic expressions are quite different, yet several points of contact can be found , not least, a shared interest in social problems.

This exhibition is not only an encounter between two artists, it is also a meeting between two municipalities and two countries .
The book documents this friendship through mutual greetings from the ministers of culture Of Palestine and Norway and the Mayors of Ramallah and Trondheim ..
