We are delighted to welcome you to the second edition of Occupied Space at the Mosaic Rooms, the A.M. Qattan Foundation’s newly refurbished exhibition and entertainment space in London.

It is particularly apt that a collaborative effort between British, Palestinian and international artists should be our opening event, since one of the Foundation’s principle aims is to support projects that are characterised by a spirit of openness and exchange, and that make possible the development of joint intellectual and artistic projects in the context of shared universal values. Occupied Space is also an opportunity for artists to show solidarity with a besieged people in their struggle for freedom, while also welcoming Palestinian artists, some for the first time, to show their work in London. For some, the exhibition may also represent a stepping-stone into the international art market, providing much needed professional opportunities as well as offering audiences original and often challenging visions of the Palestinian experience in all its variety and contradictions.

We hope you enjoy the exhibition and that we will welcome you to more events in the future.
