The word anthropology comes from the Greek (anthropos = man, logos = study) and is the science which studies man, and in particular, the differences which exist between human types. The aim is to reconstruct "the natural history of mankind". Physical anthropology studies the biological characteristics of man, firstly through the analyses of morphological characteristics, the amassing of biological finds and the creation of a set of instruments for describing them. There are various types of found photographs, objects of psychological interest and other remains at The Palestinian Museum of Natural History and Humankind, which are the result of different expeditions undertaken by the Museum throughout the years of its activities.
