About the Museum:
The Palestinian Museum of Natural History and Humankind was established in 1929 to inspire wonder, discovery and knowledge of amazing phenomena that provoke curiosity and deepen understanding of our natural and cultural wonders.

The growth and care of the collection, research and dissemination of knowledge through publications, exhibitions and educational projects remain the cornerstones of the Museum's mission today. Our goal at The Palestinian Museum of Natural History and Humankind is to inform, connect, fascinate, amaze, delight, surprise and excite visitors' interest in the way the world woks in the natural and cultural earth of Palestine. The Palestinian Museum of Natural History and Humankind's activities are organized in four main departments: the Anthropological Department, the Botanical Department, Geology and Paleontology Department, and the Earth and Solar System. Each section promotes its specific area of research through public events, expeditions, and co-operations with international organizations.

An Overview of the Museum Collection:
A selection of objects – fossils, bones, meteorites and artifacts – from different departments of the Museum contributes to the formation of the Museum Permanent Collection. All the objects in the Palestinian Museum Collection contain a wealth of hidden clues about how, when, why and where they were made, about the people who created them and the environment in which they lived. The Museum's public events are responsible for revealing these 'hidden clues' and communicating the result of the research to a wider audience.
