Alyana Cazalet was born and raised in former Soviet Union. She studied at Moscow (BA in graphic and applied arts) and London (MA Fine Arts in Photography/Print). She has lived in different countries and worked on various projects, among others with: UFLEKU/Russia-Spain, BBC/Britain, and Edward Said National Conservatoire of Music/Palestine. She has also contributed graphic and art pieces to Molodaya Gvardia, Friends of the Earth, Il Pais, Hermes International, Cyprus Mail, Sunjet.

Art works are held in in public and private collections including: City Museum/Estonia, Moscow Press Club/Russia, OSGAS/Scotland and Canadian Embassy/London.

During last year she has travel intensively through West Bank and Gaza Strip with series of art workshops, supported by French Cultural Centre and British Council.

She is currently living and working as a freelance artist and photographer in Palestine.
