This collection of Karkutli’s épreuves d’artiste was dedicated personally to his German friend Yourg Lang, a supporter of the Palestinian Revolution who spent ten years in Beirut, Lebanon. In 1982, when the Israeli army invaded Lebanon and reached the outskirts of Beirut. Lang and his young family had to leave their home in Beirut overnight, leaving most of their possessions behind.
